Pepe Martí concluded the official Formula 2 tests positively at the Sakhir circuit in Bahrain, standing out with the third best time in the overall classification of the three days.

'We achieved the third best time on the final standings of the three days.'"

"After a season opener marked by adverse conditions in Melbourne, where the main race was cancelled due to heavy rain, Pepe Martí successfully completed the official Formula 2 test held at the Sakhir Circuit (Bahrain) on 26th, 27th, and 28th March. The Spanish driver showed solid performance, finishing third in the combined classification of the three days (1:42.584), with a total of 192 laps completed.

These sessions allowed Martí and his team, Campos Racing, to fine-tune the car setup and prepare for the upcoming rounds of the championship. On the first day, Martí stood out by securing the second-best time in both sessions. On the second day, the team focused on race simulations and setup tests, gathering valuable data for the rest of the season. On the final day, they concentrated on final adjustments, wrapping up a very productive test with a good balance between qualifying speed and long-run consistency."

"It has been a very positive test; we’ve been able to complete all the planned mileage according to the established work schedule, without any setbacks, which is very important. We’re happy, especially with the one-lap performance, achieving the third-best time in the final standings of the three days. As for the long runs, we’ve been quite competitive compared to the others, and I’ve felt very comfortable with the car,” says Pepe, who also praised his team's work: “We’ve worked really well as a team; it’s been very comfortable. I’m really proud of the work of the engineers, mechanics, and everyone in general. We didn’t have any issues and we were able to complete the laps we had in mind; everything has been fantastic."

"From an organisational standpoint, it’s been similar for all the teams. On the first two days, in the afternoon sessions, when the temperature was lower, we did qualifying simulations. In the morning sessions, we focused on tests and long runs. The issues from Melbourne have been resolved; if any others come up, they’ll be different because we’ve already sorted out those specific ones," explains the Red Bull Junior Team driver.

"With this performance in the tests, Pepe Martí faces the next round of Formula 2 with confidence, which will take place from 11th to 13th April at the same Sakhir circuit in Bahrain, followed by the event in Jeddah the following week.

"The race looks promising; I believe we can have good opportunities as we are very competitive. If we manage to get things right at the key moments, we’ll be able to fight for the podium or the win... The important thing is that we have the speed,' he concludes."
